  3.        The Elements have been a part of man's ancient and arcane lore
  4. since its inseption in pre-historic times.  Different traditions
  5. associate them with various things.  The following list of
  6. correspondences comes from Starhawk's "The Spiral Dance."

  8.      AIR: Direction: East.
  9.               Rules: The mind, all mental, intuitive and psychic
  10.                      work, knowledge, abstract learning, theory,
  11.                      windswept hills, plains, windy beaches, high
  12.                      mountain peaks, high towers, wind and breath.
  13.                Time: Dawn.
  14.              Season: Spring.
  15.              Colors: White, bright yellow, crimson, blue-white.
  16.              Zodiac: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
  17.               Tools: Athame, sword, censer.
  18.             Spirits: Sylphs, ruled by King Paralda.
  19.               Angel: Michael.
  20.                Wind: Eurus.
  21.               Sense: Smell.
  22.               Jewel: Topaz.
  23.             Incense: Galbanum.
  24.              Plants: Frankencense, myrrh, pansy, primrose, vervain,
